Get ready 90s kids, Nickelodeon’s Double Dare is coming back for one night at San Diego Comic Con this summer! With the return of the original host, Marc Summers leading the show, Nickelodeon’s nostalgia block, The Splat, is planning to honor the 30th anniversary of Double Dare, by giving fans the chance to compete in the show live at San Diego Comic Con. Taking over Friday July 22, the event will be streamed live on The Splat’s Facebook page starting at 9:30 p.m. PT. The live show will be bringing back popular obstacles, such as: Down the Hatch, the Wringer, the Human Hamster Wheel and the legendary Double Dare Nose (get ready to pick through some slime!).

For fans who grew up watching the show, this is the chance for all their dreams to come true. When asked about coming back to host the show, Summers stated,” Thirty years later, people still stop me on the street every day and tell me playing Double Dare is the one thing they wish they could have done growing up.” Well, if you are going to SDCC this year, you’ll finally have your chance to compete in the widely popular game show which aired from 1986 – 1993.

The live Comic Con Double Dare event will then kick off a week of Double Dare reminiscence hosted by Summer on TeenNick beginning on July 25. If your wondering where Legends of the Hiddle Temple is in all this excitement, don’t fear, the Nickelodeon booth will feature some of your favorite things from the other classic game show that we all grew up watching.

Are you excited for the return (at least for one night) of Double Dare?
