It’s official! Deadpool 2 will be returning and Ryan Reynolds is set to star in the film once again. But in truth, who else could play the Merc with a Mouth? No one could hold up a candle to Reynolds’ performance in the first film, his snarky, foul-mouthed humor is what made the character come to life so well. So fans can be excited that he won’t be replaced for the sequel to the successful film.

Apparently, Reynolds only made $2 million upfront on the blockbuster movie, which caused his agents to renegotiate for more money on future Deadpool films earnings. He was always signed on for the sequel, but it seems they just wanted more money for the work that Reynolds would be doing.

Sadly, we don’t have any other news about the future of the film. The only details we have are what we learned during the post-credit scene from the film. It seems Cable will be featured in the film, a long time enemy/ally to Deadpool who has the ability to time-travel.

The first film will be released on May 10 on Blu-ray and DVD, while the sequel will begin shooting this fall and is rumored to be released in early 2018. We can’t wait to see this sequel!
