Casting sites are reporting that Zombieland 2 is targeting the Atlanta area to begin filming around August. Sadly, this doesn’t mean that production will indeed begin, but it’s a sure sign that it could be in the works beginning this summer. The first sign of a Zombieland sequel revealed itself at CinemaCon in Las Vegas with a logo displayed and confirming that the studio is in fact moving forward with the long awaited sequel.
No word on if any of the cast will be returning for this sequel even though we can only hope that they will return. At this time the studio has hired Dave Callaham and Ruben Fleischer will return to direct. Callaham has been credited with scripting The Expendables films and has credit on Legendary’s revival of Godzilla.
