Music is said to make a movie truly great, but great music also makes a great trailer. That’s true when it comes to Halsey’s newest single “Castle”, which has been used for the trailers for the upcoming film The Huntsman: Winter’s War. With a version of the song created for the film, there is also a beautiful music video, that combines film scenes with Halsey in her own Queen Ravenna type costume making her seem like a deadly woman you don’t want to mess with.
The upcoming film is a prequel to 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth. This film will tell the story of Chris Hemsworth’s character the Huntsman, Eric. In this story, Eric is essentially a soldier for Queen Freya (Emily Blunt) who is the younger sister of Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) whom we saw in the first film as Snow’s step-mother. With promises for action and adventure, this prequel film looks like it will please and give fans of the first film, a lot to think about in the mythology of this series so far.
The song itself on the other hand is entrancing and gives a subtle beat the hints at the war to come in the film, but also of all the emotions that the characters are going to have to suffer though before we reach the end of the story.
