It’s time for girl power to take center stage, and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn will lead the charge. Following Suicide Squad, Warner Bros has a new DC Entertainment project lined up for fans to sink their teeth into and it’s all about the girls. The film will not be a solo Harley Quinn movie, rather it will re-introduce a slew of powerful female heroes and villains as the Gotham City Sirens. So a kick-butt group of fighting women coming together to fight crime (and cause some themselves).
Robbie would portray Harley Quinn as the leader of the Gotham City Sirens, which included Catwoman and Poison Ivy. The comic book series was very popular and ran through 2009 until 2011. The other possibility for the Harley Quinn girl power film, would be from the bi-monthly comic book, Harley’s Little Black Book which features Wonder Woman, Zatanna and the Bombshells.
With the amazing possibilities for the female leads, including Harley Quinn, we can’t say enough how excited we are to see the this potentially amazing line up of super heroines and their villain counterparts. With characters like Barbara Gordon, Black Canary, Huntress, Lady Blackhawk and Manhunter on the list of kick-butt females in the DC Universe, the future looks bright for female heroes in our future.
