With remakes being on the menu from Disney, it’s no shock that the cast of the upcoming Beauty and the Beast is getting some attention. The film doesn’t release until 2014, but to say we are excited is a bit of an understatement. In this episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, Hugh Jackman, who has played Gaston in the stage production of Beauty and the Beast, joins Luke Evans, who will portray Gaston in the upcoming film, sing with Taron Egerton a rendition of the song “Gaston” from the film. This is for the audience to decide who is the better Gaston.
Let’s just say for starters, that Taron Egerton can sing and he steals the show quickly as he starts by singing some of Gaston’s sidekick, La Fou’s, lines. Then Luke Evans and Hugh Jackman continue to sing, with their beer mugs in hand and you can’t help but smile and sing along with them. It’s clear that it’s been some time since Jackman performed the iconic song, but even with the mistakes made, it’s clear everyone has a fun time singing the song.
But the question still remains: Who is the better Gaston?
