If you were at San Diego Comic Con 2016 and you were lucky enough to get into the Marvel Studios Hall H panel, you saw a trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 that no one else got to see. Well, sadly this isn’t that trailer, but…it is the first trailer released to everyone for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film so that has to be something! Right?
That is absolutely right, because this trailer has Marvel fans around the world excited for their second favorite fighting team to come back to the big screen (although, this might truly rank as the No. 1 favorite…but don’t tell Captain America we said that). The trailer comes just a few weeks ahead of the next Marvel film, Doctor Strange, which looks to be a film that takes a bit of it’s themes from The Matrix and Inception. And in the trailer, all of our favorite characters are back! From smart mouth Peter Quill, a.k.a. Star Lord, to a baby Groot who has us all just going “aww!”.

When looking at the trailer though, it’s awesome to see the same humor we saw in the first film, back to give us more laughs and with themes some of us saw in the trailer at Comic Con, we can’t help but wonder what the plan of action is for the connection from this sequel to the upcoming Avengers: Infinity Wars which will follow in just a few years. Obviously we’re going to have to wait and see what is going to happen, but in the meantime, enjoy the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2!
