The prequel to Snow White and the Huntsman has released another trailer, with new footage and lots of action. The Huntsman: Winter’s War is set some years prior to Snow White and the Huntsman, with Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron as the wicked sisters at war, Freya and Ravenna. In this trailer, we get a bit more plot lines, explanations on what is going to happen in this film and why there is this war.

The war is being fought by Freya and Ravenna, but they weren’t always fighting and Freya wasn’t always an ice queen. Ravenna asked her favorite question, if she was the fairest of them all, and the mirror answered that she was at the time, but that Freya’s daughter would end up being far more beautiful than she. But the mirror warns Ravenna, that if anything were to ever come to happen to the child, it would unleash a wrath in Freya far greater than she could imagine. That wrath is Freya’s ice powers that unleash the moment she sees her child dead.

So, as the trailer states, she leaves to raise young children to be her “huntsman” and her warriors. This is where our story will take place as we see what happened to the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) before he crossed paths with Snow and once again fought against Ravenna. The film looks full of action and adventure as the Huntsman teams up with Sara (Jessica Chastain) to fight a battle between two sisters and try to bring an end to the power of the mirror, which seems far to great for one person to have.

The trailer makes us excited for the next film, which is set to release in theaters on April 22. Check out the trailer below and share your excitement with us in the comments section. You can see the first trailer for the film here.
