It seems like just a few months away and Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast will hit theaters. They’ve released a teaser trailer, that doesn’t show much and left much to be desired. But that’s about it. Not much more has come from the quiet Disney corner regarding the remake of the Disney classic. And then…out of that quiet corner fans get a huge look into the upcoming film and all it’s beautiful splendor. And yes, it is beautiful. If you have harbored any doubts about Emma Watson portraying Belle, your doubts should be laid to rest with the stills that were released of the upcoming film exclusively on Entertainment Weekly today.

The stills shows all of our favorite characters in costume. From Belle and the Beast dancing in their famous ballroom scene to Gaston singing in a tavern about how great he is. Each of the stills from set capture our hearts little by little and make us wish it was March already, because we really want to see this movie.

First let’s look at the cover for this weeks edition of the magazine. Clearly some thought was put into this article because look at how gorgeous this shot looks!

Between Belle and her ball gown and the Beast who looks as dashing as ever in blue, this picture alone is the hope we doubters were waiting to see. The hope that this film will be just as good as The Jungle Book which was released earlier this year. Dan Stevens is portraying the beast, which has been a point of interest for many of the older fans of the original film.

The next few images are just of Belle. They are set in what looks to be the village and in the Enchanted Castle which she will of course one day call home in the story. The pictures show the versatile look that Emma Watson has and how effortlessly it seems she fell into the role of the classic Disney bookworm. Even making an appearance in the library. But what these shots really tell us, is that Disney is sticking close to their original animated musical. Instead of straying to far away, they are attempting to keep it close to the classic. Thank goodness for that!

But what of the famous villain? He was also revealed, played by Luke Evans, in some of the shots that were released and they are fun to say the least. Gaston is just one of those villains you just love to hate and hate to love. But Evans sure does make one dashing Gaston, at least we think so.
