In a recent interview with Rolling Stones, Michael Bay eluded to a confirmation that the upcoming film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will feature a prominent and popular villain. The character Krang has seemingly been confirmed to be in the upcoming sequel.
The character in question, Krang, looks like a disembodied brain with tentacles and who usually lives inside of a robot body. Krang is one of the most notorious villains from the animated series The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, and to have him finally in a film is exciting news to Turtle fans.
From the article:
“They start with Ninja Turtles animations. Pablo Helman, a visual-effects supervisor who worked on the Star Wars prequels, appears onscreen and shows Bay the latest version of Krang, a new-to-the-movies villain who is essentially, a disembodied brain inside a giant roboto. “So we’ve eliminated the tentacles,” Helman explains. “Is it too monster-ish?”
“He could have some tentacles,” says Bay. “I just don’t want them coming out of the side. He looks like a stupid octopus.”
So there you have it! Looks like we will be having Krang as a villain in the upcoming Ninja Turtles film. Are you excited?
