Cosplay at conventions is a huge thing, which you would know if you’ve ever seen any pictures from San Diego Comic Con, WonderCon in Los Angeles and every other convention hosted around the U.S. and the rest of the world. But YouTuber Red Planet, might’ve found the cutest cosplayer of all time at WonderCon 2016. With the popularity of Star Wars: The Force Awakens still in full swing, especially with kids, cons are sure to be full of Finn, Rey and all assortment of Jedi cosplays, but this youngster and her family thought outside of the box…err circle?
Enter Kayla Miyamoto, daughter of William Miyamoto and at the young age of eight, already a veteran cosplayer. This year, her dad made her a very special costume for WonderCon: BB-8. With the ability to kneel down and be in full costume and character, Kayla walked the convention beeping and booping as BB-8, her new favorite droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The costume even had an awesome tiny hatch, where Kayla could reach out and do BB-8’s signature thumbs up. The costume was so good, that when she sat next to a robot version of BB-8, you almost couldn’t tell the difference.
To say Kayla stole everyone’s hearts at WonderCon would be an understatement. You can hear more than one person in the background of the video exclaiming at how adorable she looked as she posed and let people take pictures of her in costume.
