If you haven’t heard, Netflix will be filming a new version of A Series of Unfortunate Events, based off the book series of the same name. They have officially cast the parts of Violet and Klaus for the show, two of the main siblings in the series. Malina Weissman of Supergirl will play Violet and newcomer Louis Hynes will play Klaus.
The gothic children’s series has already been adapted into a film before, starring Jim Carrey and Emily Browning. There were many who loved the books and didn’t care for that version of the film and are hoping that this new series will bring justice to the book series that so many loved.
For the Netflix series, Neil Patrick Harris is in talks to play the villainous Count Olaf in the tremulous story of our favorite three orphans. The entire story is about Violet, Klaus and Sunny trying to uncover the secret to their parents’ deaths and to stay away from the evil Count Olaf.
