The first footage for Moana, the upcoming Disney princess movie, has finally been released. It’s short, and not much footage, but it’s something that we can see finally of the upcoming film. The film by Walt Disney Studios will be a CG-animated film, starring Dwayne Johnson and newcomer Auli’i Cravalho. Cravalho plays the titular character, Moana, a young woman who uses her navigational skills to find a fabled island with sidekick Maui, played by Johnson, at her side.

The footage shows Moana starring off into the distance of the ocean, contemplating something, while it also shows the very large-and-in-charge demigod Maui swinging a large staff. The sneak peak also shows concept art that we have already seen and just makes Disney fans all a little more excited for November to come around.
