The epic conclusion to the Hunger Games trilogy is finally here, Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, and fans couldn’t be happier. The film is the final installment in the four movie franchise made from the novels written by Suzanne Collins. The final film was directed by Francis Lawrence, while it starred Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth along with the rest of the all star cast.
Going into the film is a bittersweet feeling, the same that many Harry Potter fans had when that series ended, but what’s different about Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is that it’s full of action and a war that seems so much more grown up than the intended audience. The film begins right where the last one left off and it flows well with the rest of the series. We finally get to see the rebels fight back with the Capital, and the tense, excitement makes you antsy in your seat. A film worth seeing, if you’ve seen all the rest of the films, with a finale that ties the series together nicely, giving us an ending that can be believed, if not make us, the viewers, happy.
You won’t want to miss the finale for this series, it’s not one of the best films in the series, but it’s definitely a nicely tied off finish to a story that has kept viewers, and readers, captivated for years and will continue to captivate for years to come.
