With The Good Dinosaur and Star Wars: The Force Awakens coming out in the next couple of months and the year almost being over, many are wondering what is coming next. What is there to be excited for in 2016. Well we know there’s Captain America: Civil War and The Jungle Book, but what else is Disney bringing us in the next year? Thankfully, we have the full list for you here and it’s exciting and sure to get you ready for what’s to come.

The Good Dinosaur (November 25, 2015)

A classic “boy and his dog story”, The Good Dinosaur is set to be a fun, family adventure that will take them to a time where humans aren’t the dominate species, but dinosaurs are. Arlo, a young dinosaur, gets lost and separated from his family. On his adventure to find his way back home, he comes across a small, human boy who becomes an unlikely friend and companion on his journey.

Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens (December 18, 2015)

The long awaited sequel to everyone’s favorite space drama, The Force Awakens has been long anticipated by Star Wars fans and from what Disney has been showing us in the trailers, it is going to live up to our expectations. With it’s release, it opens up a whole new world of Star Wars films that are set to be released in the years to come.

The Finest Hours (January 29, 2016)

This film is based on a true story about the U.S. Coast Guard and of the greatest small boat rescue in the Coast Guard’s history. When a massive hurricane strikes the New England coast, a ship is caught in it’s path. The SS Pendleton splits in two and the crew is in desperate need of help. In a daring rescue, four men of the US Coast Guard take a small lifeboat, with an ill-equipped engine and little to no navigation, they face a deadly storm to save the men of the Pendleton.

Zootopia (March 4, 2016)

Similar to the storyline of The Good Dinosaur, Zootopia revolves around a civilization where humans are not real, but animals control the planet. A metropolis where animals of all shapes and sizes live together, albeit not getting along all that well. For Officer Judy Hopps, the first bunny on the police force, she’ll do anything to prove herself and if it means partnering with her natural enemy, a fox, then she’ll do it.

The Jungle Book (April 15, 2016) 

A remake of the classic Disney film, The Jungle Book is set to be a live action film, mixed with beautiful CGI to bring classic characters such as Bagheera and Shere Khan to life. Experience the Mowgli’s adventures in a new film that is sure to dazzle and bring a new found love to the classic film.

Captain America: Civil War (May 6, 2016)

In what people are calling Avengers 2.5, Captain America: Civil war sets up a dispute in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that fans have been waiting for. With a split in the alliance of everyone’s favorite group of superheroes, this film is going to be a battle of wills as Iron Man and Captain America’s teams face off. Who will you root for?

Alice Through the Looking Glass (May 27, 2016)

Are you ready to venture back to Wonderland? Disney remade Alice in Wonderland in 2010 with Tim Burton at the helm. This time around James Bobin is leading all of our favorites as Alice falls back into Wonderland to find all of her friends. From Johnny Depp’s Mad Hatter to Helena Bonham Carter’s Red Queen, this sequel to the 2010 Alice is sure to be amazing and as quirky as before.

Finding Dory (June 17, 2016)

The sequel all Finding Nemo fans have been waiting for! Finding Nemo takes place only six months after the events in Finding Nemo and our favorite, forgetful blue tang fish remembers that her family does know where she is. So she embarks on a journey to find her family, while learning the true meaning of family along the way. We can’t wait to see a trailer for this one, it’s sure to be as great as the original with how long it to for us to get the sequel.

The rest of the films of this list, have very little information out about them. We’re still waiting, as all of you Disney fans are waiting, for more information about these Disney films set to start releasing next summer.
